About Megan

Megan was born and raised in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she studied French and Spanish and first discovered a love of travel. Her career began in translation, before evolving, via a specialism in food and wine, into an exciting decade in wine sales and club membership in Napa Valley, California.

Megan has lived in Scotland, England, Costa Rica, France, Spain, and the United States. Her love of writing is rivaled only by her love of travel, and this blog combines both. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, bringing friends together, and (weather permitting) camping, hiking, snowboarding, and scuba diving.

  1. Hi Megan,
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and writing about your grandmother…my husband and I married young and were married for over 37 years when he passed away at age 56…much too young. So maybe my grief is still causing me memory problems…I’m sure it certainly contributes to them.
I’ve been to Scotland once, a long time ago, and loved the countryside…stayed in Edinburgh and Perth and a few other places…beautiful corner of the world.
Best of luck in your studies, and with your relationship with your man in Ohio! Come to Canada sometime–we are a very friendly ‘people’…lol.
    All the best.
    Sylvia
